skilled PHP developer

What to expect…

We are looking for a fun person, who is a skilled PHP developer, and is interested in joining our development team. Your main activities will be application development and implementation of business related applications. You will be working in our team and in close cooperation with external developers. Here you are involved in the development of business related applications; technical conception and documentation, release management and implementation. We like our clients, so close contact and direct communication with our customers should be no problem to you.

We are offering you a full-time job at our headquarters in Hamburg/ Germany.

The following knowledge is required…

You should have at least 2 years experience in:

• PHP 5.3
• OOP /OOD
• in-depth know-how in Software Architecture, familiarity with design patterns, unit testing, and writing testable code
• databases (SQL; optimization/normalization experience is a bonus)
• PHP frameworks expertise
• AJAX
• setup, monitoring and maintenance of LAMP environment
• XML
• xHTML / CSS / JS

• fastidious documentation skills
• experience with a revision control system
• awareness of performance, scalability, maintainability, security, etc.
• follow coding standards (naming conventions, XHTML, PHP coding-standards, etc.) and best-practices like DRY, KISS and coding to E_STRICT validity

You find our customers, suppliers and (external) developers all over Europe, a good knowledge of English (written and spoken) is a must have.

…Nice to have’s:

• Linux (basic knowledge)
• knowledge and experience in C/C++, C#, Java
• knowledge of ExtJs would be a plus
